This training teach participants the basic skills to perform a Developmental screening which is a short test to tell if a child is learning basic skills when he or she should, or if there are delays. Screening should be for all children. Screening is used to pick up early signs of a disorder and intervene through appropriate referral and intervention.
American Academy of paediatrics recommends screening at 9, 18 and 24 (or 30) months and other visits as appropriate The Workshop covers all aspects of developmental delays and the screenings tools.
This session will provide an overview of the field of dyslexia and answer questions such as what is dyslexia, and how can I identify and deal with dyslexia in the classroom and at home. The session will therefore provide a range of strategies and intervention.
